What You'll Do
- Provide specialized nursing care on the Progressive Care Unit within a floating pool setting
- Float to other OSU-affiliated hospitals within a short walking distance
- Manage patient ratios typically of 1:3-4
- Perform IV starts, telemonitoring, and other critical nursing procedures
- Document clinical data accurately in Epic electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care and safety
- Adapt swiftly between units of similar or lower acuity levels
What You Need
- Valid Ohio RN license
- 2+ years of recent hospital experience in a similar setting
- Certification in BLS and ACLS
- Proficiency in IV starts, telemonitoring, and Epic EMR
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
About the Assignment
This role is based at a prominent healthcare facility in Columbus, Ohio. While primarily serving on the PCU, flexibility to float within other units of similar acuity is required.
