Materials Engineer

Materials Engineer | Medical Device Industry We're partnering with a growing medical device manufacturer to hire a Materials Engineer to support product development from concept through commercialization. This role will lead material selection, qualification, characterization, and change assessments while collaborating with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams to ensure product performance, patient safety, and compliance with global regulations. Key Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry, or related field 3+ years of experience in medical devices or regulated manufacturing Strong knowledge of ISO 10993, ISO 14971, FDA regulations, and EU MDR Experience with material characterization, validation testing, and risk assessment Familiarity with injection molding, extrusion, GD&T, and CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills What You'll Do Lead material selection and qualification activities Evaluate material, supplier, manufacturing, and sterilization changes Support regulatory submissions and technical documentation Assess biocompatibility and chemical characterization data Partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to support new product development and manufacturing operations #J-18808-Ljbffr BioTalent
