Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of the Property Director at Maple Knoll, located in Westfield, Indiana. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in real estate administration, property leasing, and customer service to contribute to the efficient management of residential apartment homes. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, knowledge of landlord-tenant law, and experience with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite. This position is essential in ensuring tenant satisfaction, compliance with Fair Housing regulations, and smooth property operations. Duties Assist in managing lease agreements, renewals, and tenant relations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction Coordinate property maintenance requests and oversee facilities management to maintain property standards Support leasing activities including showing units, upselling available spaces, and processing applications Maintain accurate data entry and filing of tenant records, contracts, and legal documents Utilize property management software such as Yardi or OneSite for rent collection, reporting, and record keeping Handle conflict management with tenants or vendors professionally and efficiently Assist in preparing reports related to occupancy rates, lease expirations, and maintenance schedules Support administrative functions including phone etiquette, filing, and general office tasks Requirements Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles Proficiency with Yardi is preferred Strong customer service skills with excellent phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities Experience in lease negotiations, contracts management, and upselling rental units or services Administrative experience including data entry, filing, and office procedures Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail This role offers a dynamic work environment where organizational skills and legal knowledge are highly valued.
