Keep precise documentation that complies with all relevant regulations and standards.

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

A Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) must be completed if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting your employment.

Deep knowledge of evidence-based practices for various age groups and a familiarity with developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues.

The capability to modify therapy techniques to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
