Description

• Conduct assessments for patients spanning the pediatric, adult, and geriatric spectrum using standardized measures and observational methods.
• Design individualized treatment plans tailored to patients' immediate objectives and long-term communication or swallowing aspirations.
• Administer personalized speech therapy sessions targeting language, communication, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing difficulty.
• Collaborate effectively with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, medical professionals, families, and caregivers to forge a unified approach to patient care.
• Provide essential education to patients and their families to support their journey beyond the clinical environment.
• Participate in occasional evaluations and interventions for inpatient speech therapy, ensuring a seamless continuity of care during treatment.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in alignment with state, federal, and institutional standards.
• Engage with ongoing advancements in speech-language pathology via professional development and peer networking.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if still working toward ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
