This hospital-based facility provides specialized endocrinology services through both inpatient and outpatient settings, with an on-site clinic available to support coordinated patient care. The facility operates with structured scheduling and established clinical protocols to support locum tenens clinicians during assigned coverage periods. It is equipped to serve an adult patient population across both inpatient and outpatient endocrinology service lines.

The area surrounding this assignment offers clinicians access to a range of historical, cultural, and recreational attractions suited to varied interests. Points of interest include the Freedom Trail, Fenway Park, the North End, Beacon Hill, and Boston Harbor, with options ranging from trolley and walking tours to whale watching and harbor cruises. Day trips to destinations such as Newport and Fall River, located approximately one hour outside the area, offer additional experiences including coastal scenery and historic sites.

The nurse practitioner will provide endocrinology services Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, covering inpatient, outpatient, or both settings based on availability and assignment needs. Clinical responsibilities include diabetes expertise and education, triage, urgent visits, in-basket management, and insulin pump management; experience with insulin pumps is a plus but not required. Potential weekend call coverage spans Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 8:00 AM, with in-house work required on Saturday and Sunday. A minimum of one year of inpatient and/or outpatient endocrinology experience as an APP is required for this assignment.
