Make a difference in students’ lives by providing essential speech-language services within a school-based setting. Utilize your expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat pediatric speech and language disorders, working closely with educators and families to foster students’ success. This full-time, on-site contract opportunity is ideal for travel professionals looking to contribute their skills in a supportive educational environment near Spanaway, WA.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
- Washington State license in Speech-Language Pathology, or willingness to obtain before start
- Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
- Ability to collaborate with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students with diverse needs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to integrate therapy goals within classroom settings
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide written reports for student progress
- Educate families and caregivers on strategies to support communication at home
- Maintain compliance with school district and state regulations
