Job Title2nd Shift CNC OperatorJob DescriptionWe are currently seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position plays a key role in producing precision-machined components while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity. Essential duties and responsibilities include operating one or two NC/CNC machines, changing machine tooling as required, inspecting parts to specified tolerances and engineering drawing requirements using approved inspection methods, ensuring finished parts meet quality standards and visual requirements, performing routine machine and equipment maintenance, entering labor and production reporting accurately each day, maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area, performing minor assembly functions as needed, meeting established production and efficiency standards, reporting equipment malfunctions, tooling issues, and material concerns promptly, properly identifying and documenting defects or non-conforming parts, and following all company safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.QualificationsRequired: High School Diploma or GED equivalent, basic math, reading, and comprehension skills, ability to read and follow work instructions and quality requirements, strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for approximately 10 hours per shift, ability to lift up to 85 pounds, approximately 5–10 times per hour, ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift, ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machine noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures while wearing all required PPE.Amsted Rail's Equal Opportunity Statement: Amsted Rail is an Equal Opportunity employer.
