Description
KIPP Atlanta Schools is part of the KIPP (Knowledge is Power Program) national network of free, open enrollment, college-preparatory schools dedicated to ensuring that every child grows up free to create the future they want for themselves and their communities. There are 280 KIPP schools in 21 states and the District of Columbia serving more than 175,000 scholars and alumni. KIPP Atlanta currently operates 11 schools including five primary schools, six middle schools and one high school, as well as KIPP Forward which supports scholars on their journey to a choice-filled life. Job Responsibilities:
- Scholar Recruitment, Family Engagement & Community Outreach - 40%
- Serve as a primary ambassador for KIPP Atlanta Schools throughout Metro Atlanta communities.
- Represent KIPP Atlanta Schools at community events, school fairs, neighborhood meetings, family events, faith-based organizations, and partner organizations.
- Develop meaningful relationships with prospective families and community stakeholders.
- Conduct presentations and informational sessions to communicate the value and impact of KIPP Atlanta Schools.
- Generate new student leads through outreach campaigns, community partnerships, and referral initiatives.
- Manage family referral programs and ambassador initiatives to increase awareness and applications.
- Support regional and campus-based recruitment campaigns.
- Build and maintain community partnerships that strengthen enrollment pipelines.
- Maintain strong knowledge of KIPP Atlanta Schools' academic programs, culture, extracurricular offerings, and scholar outcomes.
- Enrollment Pipeline Management & Family Conversion - 35%
- Manage prospective family pipelines from inquiry through enrollment.
- Conduct proactive outreach to prospective families through phone calls, text messaging, email campaigns, and in-person meetings.
- Support families throughout the enrollment process and assist with application completion.
- Track enrollment progress and identify opportunities to increase application completion and enrollment conversion rates.
- Monitor enrollment data and provide recommendations to improve enrollment outcomes.
- Support waitlist management and enrollment forecasting efforts.
- Partner with school leaders to ensure timely follow-up with prospective families.
- Utilize enrollment systems and databases to maintain accurate records and reporting.
- Identify and address barriers preventing families from completing enrollment.
- Enrollment Operations & School Partnership - 15%
- Support enrollment verification, registration events, and enrollment compliance processes.
- Assist campuses with student recruitment and retention initiatives.
- Train and support school-based teams on enrollment best practices.
- Coordinate enrollment events, open houses, tours, and family engagement activities.
- Support enrollment audits and documentation requirements.
- Ensure enrollment processes are executed accurately and efficiently.
- Brand Ambassadorship, Customer Experience & Continuous Improvement - 10%
- Deliver exceptional customer service to prospective and current families.
- Serve as a steward of the KIPP Atlanta Schools brand and reputation.
- Gather feedback from families and community partners to improve enrollment experiences.
- Analyze recruitment and enrollment data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to family experience and enrollment effectiveness.
- Stay informed on enrollment trends, school choice practices, and community needs.
Qualifications
Candidate Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in recruitment, admissions, enrollment, sales, marketing, customer engagement, community outreach, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships quickly and effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience working toward measurable goals and performance targets.
- Ability to present information effectively to individuals and groups.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience utilizing data to inform decision-making and improve outcomes.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Metro Atlanta.
- Availability to attend occasional evening and weekend events.
- Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Experience in K-12 education, charter schools, higher education admissions, nonprofit outreach, or community engagement.
- Bilingual proficiency.
- Experience with enrollment systems, CRM systems, or student information systems.
- Experience in sales, recruitment, admissions, or customer acquisition environments.
- Experience working with families and communities across diverse backgrounds.
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation for this role is aligned to Level 3 within the KIPP Atlanta compensation structure. Starting pay will depend on various factors, including but not limited to professional experience, education, training, and certifications. The current Level 3 band is $55,000- $73,750. Most offers are in the lower to mid range and are at the company's sole discretion, based on the candidate's experience aligned with the role expectations. This allows us to provide a fair and equitable approach to compensation when setting pay and maintaining internal pay equity. New hires should not expect to come in at the top of the band.

Location & Work Conditions:
- This position requires schedule flexibility; work hours vary based on organization needs and may include evenings and occasional weekends.
- This position has hybrid flexibility but does require regular presence at KIPP Atlanta Schools, and in schools and in required meetings around the region; Must be based in Atlanta
- This position requires routine physical activity associated with normal office environments.
- This position may require the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to engage in school-based activities requiring standing, walking, and mobility
