About us

Gobel Management provides shared finance, HR, and administrative services to a growing portfolio of men's wellness businesses in Tampa Bay. The portfolio includes MANTRA Modern Barbershop, a private personal-training studio, and Ultimate Longevity Centers, a clinician-led diagnostics franchise opening three centers in 2027. We are founder-led, moving fast, and need the person who keeps every dollar, payroll, and filing right.

The role

You will run day-to-day accounting, payroll, HR administration, and the compliance calendar for every company in the portfolio. You will also manage the CEO's personal bill pay and records. Our outside CPA firm reviews your work monthly, handles tax returns, and is your partner on technical questions, so you will not be on your own. This is a hands-on seat for an organized, discreet accountant who wants to grow with a multi-location business.

What you'll own

Accounting

• Daily bookkeeping across 7+ companies in QuickBooks Online (or similar)
• Bank, credit card, and merchant processor reconciliations, ready for CPA review by the 7th business day
• Accounts payable, vendor records, and payment runs within approval limits set by the CEO
• Intercompany charges from Gobel Management to each business, per written allocation rules
• Weekly cash report to the CEO every Monday

Payroll and HR administration

• Payroll for all companies through ADP, including barber and spa commissions and bonus calculations
• Onboarding and offboarding: offer letters, I-9 and E-Verify, new-hire reporting, benefits enrollment
• Employee files, PTO tracking, handbook updates, and license and credential tracking for barbers, estheticians, and clinical staff
• Workers' compensation and benefits administration with our providers

Compliance and administration

• Maintain the master compliance calendar: Florida annual reports, sales and use tax, business tax receipts, professional and facility licenses, insurance renewals
• Prepare filings and workpapers; submit on time after CPA review where required
• Set up new ULC location companies: EINs, DBAs, bank accounts, payroll, and licenses, before each opening
• Track contracts, leases, insurance certificates, and key dates

CEO personal finances

• Pay personal bills, track spending, and organize records for the personal tax return
• Keep personal and company finances completely separate, with time on personal work tracked and billed separately

What you bring

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including full-cycle bookkeeping and reconciliations for a small or multi-location business
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience
• Hands-on QuickBooks Online and ADP (or comparable payroll platform) experience
• Working knowledge of payroll tax, Florida sales tax, I-9 rules, and W-2 vs. 1099 classification
• HR administration experience; SHRM-CP or PHR is a plus
• Experience in multi-unit retail, salon or spa, healthcare, franchise, or a family office is a plus
• Absolute discretion: you will see personal and company financial information
• Highly organized; you track deadlines without reminders and flag problems early
• Must pass background, credit, and reference checks

• Reconciliations for every company ready for CPA review by the 7th business day, every month
• Zero late filings, penalties, or payroll errors
• Weekly cash report delivered every Monday without being asked
• Every new ULC location has its company, payroll, licenses, and books set up before opening day
• CEO time spent on administration reduced against the baseline measured at hire
