Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Location: Hybrid role based in Pittsburgh, PA, with 3 days working from home each week and in-office collaboration as needed.

Note: Candidates must be admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and have at least 1+ year of civil litigation experience. Insurance defense experience is strongly preferred, and admission to the Ohio and/or West Virginia bars is a plus.

Job Description

• Handle civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Work on cases involving auto liability, premises liability, construction litigation, product liability, insurance coverage, and related defense matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and case evaluations
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy with supervising attorneys and partners
• Manage discovery, prepare witnesses, and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
• Communicate with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel
• Take ownership of files while receiving guidance from experienced litigation attorneys
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on professionalism, responsiveness, and strong client outcomes

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active Pennsylvania Bar admission required
• 1+ year of civil litigation experience required
• Experience with insurance defense, auto liability, premises liability, construction litigation, product liability, or insurance coverage preferred
• Ability to handle litigation tasks from case inception through resolution
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Ohio and/or West Virginia Bar admission is a plus
• Writing sample required
