Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

This will include installing new equipment, performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.Installing new production equipment.Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production-related equipment.Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines.Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.Adjusting mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades.Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean work area.Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.Collaborate with engineers, maintenance staff, and other team members on facility projects.Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work.Follow strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.Qualifications & Skills:Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenanceAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprintsWorking knowledge of electrical codes and regulationsAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical problemsStrong communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and organizational skillsPhysical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spacesMotivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions.Proficiency in using electrical tools, testing equipment, and hand tools.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to emergency situations.Physical stamina and ability to work in confined spaces or at heights.Work Environment:Manufacturing environmentExposure to both hot and cold environmentsMust be able to lift up to 40 pounds at timesPolaris Huntsville Internal Promotion / Transfer Requirements:New Hires must have 1-year Continuous Service from Polaris Hire Date6 Months Between Department Transfers or PromotionsNo Active Corrective Actions2 or less Attendance PointsMust have received a 'Meets Expectation' in the most recent performance review, if applicable.Resume RequiredInterview RequiredCandidates already assigned to the work unit (Assembly, Weld, Materials, Quality, etc.) will be considered first.
