Senior Payroll Specialist

They're hiring for a Senior Payroll Specialist to take ownership of their 500+ US employees. Workday is an essential requirement for this position. Responsibilities Oversee and execute end-to-end bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll processing for employees, including unionized staff, across multiple states and entities. Partner with cross‑functional teams to enhance processes and drive efficiencies, supporting the scalability of the Hire‑to‑Retire workflow. Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate payroll cost allocation across cost centres and locations, while working closely with HR to gather and verify employee data for payroll processing. Develop and implement process improvements and internal controls to strengthen payroll operations. Lead ad‑hoc projects and take on additional assignments to support the broader team as needed. Requirements At least 3 years taking ownership of a payroll function. Expert within US payroll, with experience running payroll across multiple US states including NY & CA. Hands on Workday Payroll experience Experience working in a fast‑growing company is a plus! The salary range for this position is $110-$130k and would like 1 day per week in their NYC office, however will consider remote options for the right candidate.
