Maintenance Manager

Location: 1253 W Central Street, Franklin, Massachusetts 02038 Work Shift: Salary Exempt (United States of America) Job Summary The Maintenance Manager is a leader responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of hydraulic and electrical equipment that manufactures blow-molded bottles and containers. The role involves managing and leading a team of mechanical and electrical personnel, coordinating maintenance programs, and driving improvements to minimize downtime and enhance reliability. Responsibilities Manage and lead a team of mechanical & electrical personnel, ensuring safe and effective maintenance procedures. Develop and manage a maintenance program that combines preventative and routine activities to minimize machine downtime. Lead mechanical staff in repairs or rebuild of equipment to avoid breakdowns, ensuring documented accuracy and safety. Establish training requirements and professional development for the maintenance team. Troubleshoot and identify equipment problems and solutions when necessary. Maintain spare parts inventory and develop/manage a parts inventory system. Comply with corporate standards and applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies. Establish goals & objectives for the maintenance department aligned with plant & business goals. Ensure equipment meets production schedules & quality standards; improve equipment availability. Accountable for efficient utilization of maintenance technicians and equipment, and for advancing planning and scheduling processes. Initiate and drive improvements via training, capital projects, and other means focusing on productivity and control of maintenance & capital spend. Analyze maintenance problems and devise & implement corrective action plans. Evaluate employee performance to determine training needs & development opportunities. Perform other duties as assigned by leadership. Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of experience as a plant-wide Maintenance Manager. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline preferred. Experience with injection molding or foaming processes preferred. PLC experience is a plus. Ability to work reasonable mandatory overtime due to business needs.
