Accounting Controller

LHH is partnering with a local ATL based company, seeking an experienced Controller to lead all accounting operations for a growing manufacturing organization, located East of Atlanta. This role will oversee financial reporting, cost accounting, internal controls, and team leadership while partnering closely with operations to drive performance and profitability. Key Responsibilities Lead all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, month‑end close, and financial reporting Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP Oversee and optimize the month‑end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting Manage and develop accounting staff, providing mentorship and performance oversight Drive cost accounting functions including inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis Partner with plant/operations leadership to analyze KPIs, margins, and operational performance Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes Establish and maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and support audit processes Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and scalability across the accounting function Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting CPA required 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment required Progressive accounting experience with at least 3+ years in a leadership role (Controller, Assistant Controller, or similar) Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing KPIs Advanced Excel Skills Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) #J-18808-Ljbffr
