Job Overview RN Maternal Child Float Per Diem Nights – Abington Required: 2+ years preferred—commitment to patient- and family-centered care. Responsibilities Use the nursing process to value the uniqueness of each individual and address the physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs of diverse patients served by Jefferson Health. Use data to monitor outcomes of care processes and employ improvement methods to design and test changes to improve quality and safety. Function effectively within nursing and inter‑professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision‑making. Recognize patients and care partners in providing safe, compassionate, and coordinated care based on personal preferences, priorities, needs, and cultural beliefs. Create an environment of belonging and inclusion; demonstrate problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills. Commit to learning, seek professional growth, and act in a preceptor role for appropriate staff members. Participate in hospital‑ and practice‑setting committees (safety and quality improvement). Minimum Education and Experience Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or completion of a BSN within three years of hire strongly preferred. Previous experience as an RN in an acute care setting strongly preferred. Certifications, Registration or License Requirements Current RN licensure in the state of employment.
