About Us

Ryan C. Phillips, P.A. is seeking a motivated Registered Paralegal with 5+ years of experience to join the team as a critical contributor to the success of our construction litigation practice. We will consider strong candidates at multiple levels of experience.

The firm represents architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners handling all areas of construction litigation, including design professional liability claims, construction defect claims, insurance defense, delay claims, collections, lien and bond law matters, construction industry licensing board matters, and contract negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

Paralegal responsibilities include:

• Assist attorneys with case preparation, hearing/trial preparation, document organization, and filing
• Draft legal documents (e.g., correspondence, motions, forms, pleadings, discovery, contracts, summaries)
• Maintain and update case files (digital & physical)
• Communicate with clients, courts, experts, opposing counsel, and internal staff in a professional manner
• Perform legal research and fact-checking and prepare memoranda
• Handle e-filing
• Manage schedules, deadlines, administrative tasks, and case loads independently, ensuring all deadlines are met
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibits, timelines, and witness coordination
• Review, organize, and analyze case evidence

This is a full-time on-site role in Orlando, FL.

Qualifications

• Registered Paralegal
• Strong writing and drafting skills
• Ability to manage multiple complex cases and priorities
• Familiarity with common case-management systems
• Professional communication and client-service skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Preferred
• Construction litigation experience
• Understanding of Florida court procedures and filing requirements
• Experience working directly with attorneys in high-volume or high-complexity cases
