Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Sheet Metal Installers to join our growing team in the San Diego area. The ideal candidate will have experience installing HVAC ductwork and sheet metal systems on commercial construction projects. Responsibilities
- Install sheet metal ductwork and HVAC systems according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Measure, fabricate, assemble, and install ducts, fittings, dampers, and related components.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and shop drawings.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other installation equipment safely.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, local building codes, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other trades on job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Complete projects on schedule while maintaining workmanship standards.
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of sheet metal installation experience.
- Experience with commercial HVAC duct installation.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
- Reliable transportation to local job sites.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders, lifts, and elevated surfaces.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices.
Preferred
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Sheet Metal Workers Union experience.
- Experience with stainless steel, architectural sheet metal, or fabrication.
