The Staff Accountant assists in maintaining the general ledger, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, assists in accounting for private entities, assists in new system implementations, and other projects.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Owner’s Private Entities Accounting Responsibilities:

• Importing daily financial transactions
• Posting in appropriate general ledger accounts
• Bank reconciliations
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare financial statements.

Associated Packaging, Inc. (main business accounting responsibilities):

• Cash Application Back Up
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end general ledger closing process
• Monthly balance sheet account analyses
• Bank statement reconciliations
• Assist in fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation calculations
• Monthly verification and distribution of financial reports
• Adhere to standard accounting principles and company procedures
• Other accounting duties and special projects as assigned
• Perform quality work within deadlines.
• Interact and communicate professionally with other employees, customers, vendors, and sales team

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or experience equivalent to five years of general ledger accounting.
• Microsoft Office 365 suite experience (Outlook, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)
• NetSuite and QuickBooks experience
• Proficient to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Light work, requiring exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and /or up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
