Clinical Liaison

Are you a clinician who enjoys building relationships, educating others, and helping patients navigate the next step in their care?

Good Shepherd is looking for a Clinical Liaison who combines clinical expertise with strong communication and relationship-building skills. In this dynamic, community-facing role, you'll evaluate prospective patients, coordinate admissions, develop referral relationships, and represent Good Shepherd with health-care partners throughout the community.

What You'll Do

Be the Clinical Connection

• Evaluate prospective patients and help determine the appropriate level of care.
• Complete clinical pre-screens and collaborate with physicians, care managers, insurance companies, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Assist with precertification and coordinate safe, efficient transitions to Good Shepherd.
• Serve as a trusted clinical resource throughout the referral and admission process.

Drive Referral Growth & Market Development

• Serve as a clinical ambassador for Good Shepherd, promoting our services and capabilities to hospitals, physicians, care managers, and other health-care partners.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing referral sources while identifying opportunities to establish new partnerships.
• Conduct outreach, presentations, educational programs, and networking activities to increase awareness of Good Shepherd's services.
• Use your clinical expertise to help referral partners identify patients who may benefit from Good Shepherd's specialized care.
• Support strategic market development initiatives designed to increase appropriate referrals and expand Good Shepherd's presence in the community.

Support Patients & Families

• Guide patients and families through the admission process with empathy, professionalism, and responsiveness.
• Clearly explain Good Shepherd's programs, services, expected outcomes, and the benefits of specialized care.
• Use outcomes and success stories to help patients and families make informed decisions.
• Provide reassurance, education, and support during the transition to Good Shepherd.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma in nursing or another clinical program required; bachelor's degree in a clinical field preferred.
• 2-4 years of nursing, respiratory or therapy experience required.
• Experience in referral development, marketing, or relationship-building is a plus.
• Valid driver's license required.
• RN or RRT credential strongly preferred.
• BLS/CPR for health-care providers preferred.
