Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner

We're seeking 2 Nurse Practitioners to join a respected health system in the Grand Rapids, MI area. This is an excellent opportunity for providers with strong inpatient experience, and oncology experience is a plus but not required.

Position Highlights

• Location: Grand Rapids, MI
• Contract Length: 13 weeks with potential extension
• Start Date: Late July/Early August
• EMR: Epic
• Openings:
  • Day Shift NP
  • Night Shift NP
• Michigan License & DEA required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required

Schedule Day Shift

• Rotating schedule averaging 30-40 hours/week
• Combination of weekday and weekend coverage
• 7:00 AM 5:00 PM shifts

Night Shift

• Monday, Tuesday, and Friday
• 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
• Potential weekend coverage every third weekend

Responsibilities

• Manage adult inpatient hematology/oncology patients
• Daily rounding
• Admissions and discharges
• Acute patient management and status changes
• Order and interpret labs and imaging
• Collaborate with physicians, oncologists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Background Hematology/Oncology experience (inpatient preferred)

Internal Medicine NP
ICU/Critical Care NP
Providers comfortable with:

• Independent rounding
• Admissions and discharges
• Managing complex, acute patients
