The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for improving processes, enhancing efficiencies, and driving operational excellence.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe Ziegenfelder Accountant is responsible for:Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, general ledger entries, and supporting documentationAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing responsibilities including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.Responsible for the timely filing and paying taxes corporate and statePrepare sales tax filings, annual personal property tax filings, and other regulatory reports as neededReporting unclaimed funds to the prospective agenciesActively leading and participating in monthly-end inventory sample selection for test counts for all locations including reconciling parts and fabrication inventorySupport audits by providing requested financial information and documentationSupport the accounts payable and accounts receivable teamPartner and provide solutions for accounting irregularities and process improvementEnsure compliance with the financial procedures of the organizationEngage in critical and confidential aspects of financial reporting and accounting department, including understanding key elements of company's risk profile.Assist with other ad-hoc accounting projects as necessary.
