Foothill Drive, Salt Lake City, UT, 84148. This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing and able to work onsite if required. Working hours are Mon-Fri, 7am-6pm (8-hour shifts within this window). To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers success as if it is their own./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliPerform appointment scheduling, tracking, and pre- and post-appointment patient contact in accordance with VA scheduling policies./liliServe as the designated scheduler/receptionist and coordinate appointment activities across assigned clinics or departments./liliScreen and respond to incoming phone calls in a courteous and timely manner; answer patient and provider inquiries regarding services./liliValidate, update, and maintain accurate patient demographic information, including insurance, contact details, and emergency contacts./liliProcess community care consults and referrals using VA systems, including HSRM, PPMS, VistA, and CPRS./liliCoordinate and authorize veteran care with community providers when services are not available or cannot be provided timely by the VA./liliCommunicate with internal medical providers regarding VA community care rules, regulations, and appropriate processes./liliEnsure received medical records and administrative documentation are accurately uploaded and integrated into CPRS and VistA./liliMonitor and report system issues or outages to the contracting supervisor as needed./liliUtilize Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) daily to support scheduling, communication, and reporting./liliDeliver high-quality customer service to veterans, families, VA staff, physicians, and contractors at all times./liliWork collaboratively with supervisors, lead schedulers, and team members to ensure timely patient communications and workflow efficiency./liliMaintain compliance with VA privacy, security, and confidentiality standards, including HIPAA requirements./liliPerform additional related duties as assigned./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliHigh school diploma or GED equivalent./liliProficiency in written and spoken English./liliMinimum typing speed of 50 words per minute./liliBasic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications./liliBasic knowledge of medical terminology./liliMinimum 6 months of customer service experience./liliAbility to work remotely and independently in a professional setting./liliAbility to obtain and maintain a favorable VA background investigation (NACI) and PIV credential./liliNo physical or health restrictions that would interfere with job performance./liliAbility to complete all required VA onboarding, security, privacy, and mandatory training prior to and during assignment./liliU.S. citizenship required./li/ulpAll candidates must be able to: sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift; lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist; lift up to 20 lbs; carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance; push/pull with 30 lbs of force./ppAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran./p/div
