The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) owns, operates, and maintains eight major toll facilities comprised of four bridges, two tunnels, and two turnpikes, across the State of Maryland. Nature of Work The Training and Certification Manager oversees the management, administration, and compliance assurance of training and certification within the Authority Operations Center (AOC) at MDTA. Responsible for the development of training programs, operational/technical certifications, and delivery of standardized training programs; Prepare customized programs and author new training materials; Train employees on Coordinated Highways Action Response Team (CHART) specific topics including familiarization with applicable custom software and devices, standard operating procedures, traffic incident management duties, and communication protocols; Serve as the Project Manager for the CHART Reporting Tool; Prepare and monitor the annual training budget by conducting meetings, analyzing data, and estimating program costs; Monitor staff work and track AOC’s performance indicators; Research new training programs and courses to further develop the AOC workforce; #J-18808-Ljbffr Maryland Department of Transportation
