Job Description National law firm seeks an experienced Trademark Paralegal to join their team. Responsibilities Prepare and file trademark applications; Review and manage client trademark dockets; Prepare and record documents affecting the chain of title for U.S. and International trademarks; Responsible for various aspects of the trademark process, including application, prosecution, maintenance, Trademark and Trial Appeal Board proceedings and related docketing; Coordinate and oversee U.S. and foreign trademark filings; Perform various tasks including copyright registrations, searches and communication with the Copyright office; Communicate with attorneys, clients and foreign agents regarding pending trademark applications and registered trademarks; Prepare Office Action responses and related correspondence; Review and maintain renewal and maintenance dockets for clients. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certificate are highly recommended; At least 3 years of on-the-job experience is required; Experience using the USPTO website database; Proficient with MS Office; Excellent writing/written communication skills; Possess knowledge of legal principles and practices at a level normally acquired through formal paralegal training or its equivalent; Possess the ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when evaluating legal matters; Possess the ability to proofread typed material for contextual, grammatical, typographical or spelling errors; Possess interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate and follow the instruction effectively from a diverse group of clients, attorneys and staff and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact; Work occasionally requires a high level of mental effort and strain while organizing and maintaining multiple cases; Company Description The firm has multiple offices in the US employing the best technology, processes and people, for the express purpose of providing excellent service and results for clients.
