Manual Machinist

Our Manufacturing Client

A well-established manufacturing company in the Inland Empire is looking for an experienced Manual Machinist to join its manufacturing team.

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, comfortable working with manual machining equipment, and able to perform accurate repair and modification work. This position works closely with production and technical teams to complete repairs and keep operations running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, and drill presses
• Perform machining, repair, and modification of production components
• Read and work from blueprints and drawings
• Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
• Perform work to required dimensions and tolerances
• Assist with repair and maintenance of tooling and production-related components
• Make and adjust fixtures when needed
• Maintain basic repair and maintenance records
• Work with production personnel to prioritize urgent repairs
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

These requirements reflect the original position's emphasis on machining repair, blueprint reading, metrology, manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, drill presses, and precision measurement.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of machining or related manufacturing experience
• Hands-on experience with manual machining equipment
• Experience with mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses
• Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances
• Comfortable using micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools
• Good mechanical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Experience in a tool room, precision manufacturing, fabrication, automotive, or other industrial manufacturing environment is preferred.

Compensation

$27.00 – $33.00 per hour , depending on experience and skill level.

Overtime may be available based on production needs.

Schedule

Full-time, on-site position.

The employer is located in the Inland Empire, California .
