Manual MachinistWe are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join a dynamic, fast-paced aftermarket service center. The primary responsibility of this position is to perform complete repairs on customer equipment while supporting team goals related to environmental health and safety, quality, on-time delivery, operating costs, and productivity.Schedule:Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate manual mills and lathes efficiently, carefully, and accuratelyOperate a horizontal boring mill on a wide variety of diversified workLay out work and produce quality partsInterpret sketches, blueprints, and engineering detailsAssist in establishing setup and layout methods, order of operations, and the application of required parts and materialsComplete jobs from raw materials through finished products using drawings, sketches, samples, or verbal instructionsSharpen, rework, reset, and repair cutting toolsInspect and verify parts during productionMaintain accurate production records and job historiesPerform minor machine maintenance activitiesAssist with setting up complex machinesStack, mark, pack, and transport finished productsWork at different workstations as production requirements dictateOperate manual and automated cleaning equipmentMaintain a clean and orderly work areaPerform other duties as assigned by managementRequired Skills and Qualifications:Two to three years of relevant experience requiredThree or more years of machining experience preferredHigh school diploma or GEDExperience setting up and operating manual mills and lathesExtensive knowledge of machine applications and manufacturing materialsAdvanced knowledge of shop mathematicsAbility to interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering documentationAbility to work with minimal supervision and resolve complex issuesWillingness to learn established machining and safety proceduresHorizontal boring mill experience strongly preferredReciprocating compressor experience is a plus but not requiredCandidates with CNC machining backgrounds are encouraged to apply, provided they are comfortable operating manual equipmentPhysical Requirements:Follow all safety and environmental requirements, including wearing required personal protective equipmentUse hands to handle objects, tools, and controlsReach overheadWork for extended periods while standing, stooping, bending, sitting, kneeling, or squattingLift, pull, and push materials and equipment as requiredFrequently lift or move up to 50 pounds throughout the workdayAdditional Position Information:Non-union work environmentIn-person interview requiredMultiple experience levels may be consideredAmeri-Force Benefits:Industry Leading PayMedical CoverageDental CoverageVision CoverageShort Term Disability BenefitsTerm Life BenefitsReferral BonusesReferral Bonuses are available for specific jobs only.About Ameri-Force:Since 1991, Ameri-Force has been a leader in skilled trades staffing, offering a people-focused approach that provides competitive advantages for our clients and rewarding career opportunities for our contract employees.
