Labor & Employment Associate

Direct Counsel is partnering with a leading national labor & employment firm to add a seasoned Labor & Employment Associate to its New York office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants to handle sophisticated, management-side work for major employers in a fast-paced, high-profile market.
About the Role

The hiring firm is seeking an attorney with:

• 5-7 years of dedicated labor and employment law experience
• Significant employment litigation experience (management-side)
• Strong academic credentials and polished written/oral advocacy skills
• Active New York Bar admission (must be able to practice in NY immediately)

Experience with any of the following is a plus :

• Defending and prosecuting breach of restrictive covenant matters (non-compete, non-solicit, confidentiality)
• Drafting, negotiating, and advising on employment agreements
• Executive compensation provisions and related contractual issues

You'll work closely with sophisticated employer clients, handling a mix of contentious matters and high-touch counseling for executives and leadership teams.
Compensation - New York City

To the extent this role is performed in New York City , the annual salary range is:

$280,000 - $315,000

• Final placement within the range is contingent on experience, education, and relevant skills
• Role includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses
