Job Title: Labor & Employment Associate Attorney Location: New York, NY Job Type: Full-Time Job Description A leading national law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney with 2–5 years of experience to join its New York office. This opportunity offers the chance to work with a dynamic Labor & Employment practice representing hospitality industry clients, including restaurants, boutique hotels, entertainment venues, and nightlife businesses. The ideal candidate will have experience providing day-to-day employment counseling and handling employment litigation involving wage and hour, discrimination, and other workplace-related matters. Key Responsibilities Advise employers on employment law matters, including wage and hour compliance, discrimination, harassment, and workplace policies. Handle employment litigation from inception through resolution. Serve as first-chair or take a lead role in litigation involving wage and hour and discrimination claims. Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents. Counsel clients on New York State and New York City employment laws and regulations. Manage class action wage and hour matters. Collaborate with clients and legal teams to develop litigation and compliance strategies. Stay current on developments in labor and employment law. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school. Active admission to the New York State Bar. 2–5 years of Labor & Employment law experience. Experience handling wage and hour and discrimination litigation. Class action wage and hour litigation experience is required. Experience advising employers on New York State and New York City employment laws. Hospitality industry labor relations experience is a plus. Familiarity with the New York State Hospitality Wage Order is preferred.
