Details Short term acute care hospital setting with a Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center designation on the Telemetry unit Teaching hospital environment Patient ratio of 1:5 Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00 Every other weekend required Floating between units required No on-call requirements Epic charting system used Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Neurology RN experience required, including comfort with the NIH Stroke Scale Proficient in caring for post-surgical neurology patients and various neurology diagnoses Experience required in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management Experience with craniotomy, CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury patients Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and chest tube management (Emerson/PleurEvac) Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring Epic EMR experience required Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years within a comparable specialty/setting required Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Provide telemetry and neuro stepdown level care to a post-surgical and diagnostically diverse neurology patient population Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; requests will not be considered after offer Scrub color for RNs is not restricted to a specific color Former Providence employees may return as travelers only after a 3 month waiting period and must live outside a 50 mile radius of the facility Candidates residing within 50 miles are considered local and accepted at a lower bill rate First-time travelers are welcome to apply No cost for on-site parking American Traveler Job ID P-746908.
