Registered Nurse - Inpatient - Weekend Night Shift - Covers both locations

This includes taking vital signs, administering medications, completing nursing assessments, and documenting patient responses. Additionally, completing admissions, discharges and transferring patients are common aspects of the position.**SHIFT - Saturday & Sunday - 7PM - 7:30AM (.6FTE) -There is added shift differential.** ***This position is split between our Calispel and Foothills location so 12 hours at each location per weekend. Exact schedule to be determined upon hire.*****ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES includes but are not limited to the following:*** Administer and monitor patient basic care utilizing the nursing process within the RN scope of practice.* Medication administration/safety/monitoring.* Carry out physicians’ orders as assigned.* Demonstrate positive leadership and goal-oriented productivity within scope of practice.* Carry out care plan objectives and goals.* Assist in delivery of client education.* Maintain standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with facility policies and procedures.* Comply with all state WACs.* Facilitate therapeutic communication with patients, visitors, and co-workers.* Complete through, timely incident reports as needed.* Respond to a patient needs and concerns and escalate through supervisory chain as indicated.* Complete thorough, accurate and complete reporting and documentation of patient’s symptoms, and progress.* Effectively utilize customer service and motivational interviewing skills to promote appropriate patient centered care.* Demonstrates flexibility in responding to change and in working with diverse groups and individuals.* Other duties as assigned.***QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:*****REQUIRED:*** Active RN license in the State of Washington.* Active BLS within 90 days of hire and must maintain active BLS.**PREFERRED:*** 1-2 years' experience in Psychiatric setting.* Previous inpatient experience.**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:*** Ability to communicate with individuals of various backgrounds, education levels and socio-economic status.* Ability to apply trauma-informed concepts and practices related to patient care.* Must have basic computer skills including ability to document in an electronic medical record, use electronic time tracking, use of Outlook, Word and HRIS.**PHYSICAL, SENSORY & ENVIRONMENTAL:**The demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
