This position is designed as an extended, hands-on working interview, providing exposure to core financial operations and close collaboration with experienced team members ahead of upcoming retirements. This role is ideal for someone who is curious, proactive, and eager to develop both technical accounting skills and strong business partnering capabilities. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support project controlling activities, including tracking costs, monitoring budgets, and assisting with financial analysis Assist with month-end close processes, including preparation and posting of journal entries Perform balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records Compile and analyze data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements Prepare and deliver ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by leadership Collaborate cross-functionally to gather and validate financial information from various stakeholders Proactively follow up with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate submission of required data Identify process gaps and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives What Success Looks Like Demonstrates ownership of assigned tasks and follows through to completion Effectively coordinates with teams across the business to obtain necessary information, even when priorities differ Translates gathered data into clear, accurate, and timely financial reporting Builds strong working relationships and becomes a reliable point of contact for finance-related requests Shows initiative in identifying issues and proposing solutions QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills, with the ability to navigate cross-functional coordination Proficiency in Excel (experience with financial systems is a plus) PREFERRED SKILLS: Naturally curious and eager to learn Self-starter with the ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision Persistent and comfortable following up to gather information and meet deadlines Organized and capable of managing multiple priorities Professional, adaptable, and solution-oriented This internship is structured as a long-term placement with a clear path to a full-time role, providing the opportunity to build deep institutional knowledge, develop technical expertise, and grow within the finance organization. Pay Range: $24.00 – $26.00 per hour, DOE Work Location: Lynnwood office (Hybrid work schedule may be available at manager’s discretion based on business needs, job performance, and the successful completion of onboarding and training requirements in the first 3 – 6 months.)
