Asbestos Supervisor

Asbestos Supervisor Oversee asbestos abatement projects from mobilization through project closeout, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and project specifications. Responsibilities Monitor asbestos abatement contractors to ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, Ohio EPA, and site-specific requirements. Conduct daily site visits to document contractor performance, work progress, and regulatory compliance. Review contractor work plans, containment setups, air monitoring results, and project documentation. Verify proper work practices, personal protective equipment (PPE), and decontamination procedures are being followed. Coordinate project activities between property owners, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies. Maintain detailed field logs, project records, photographs, and daily reports. Monitor project schedules, identify potential delays, and communicate issues to project managers. Attend pre-construction meetings, progress meetings, and project closeout meetings. Review contractor invoices, change orders, and project documentation for accuracy and completeness. Support air monitoring, final visual inspections, and project clearance activities as required. Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within regulatory guidelines. Essential Skills 5+ years overseeing asbestos abatement projects. Active Ohio Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor License. Comfortable serving as the owner's representative in the field. Experience working directly with contractors, environmental consultants, and regulatory agencies. Additional Skills & Qualifications OSHA 40 HR Hazwoper certification. Experience in environmental inspection and daily reporting. Background in construction. Work Environment The position is based around the Monroe County area near Marietta, with potential candidates ideally located between there and Columbus. This role offers the opportunity to utilize your asbestos certification and complete projects without a long-term commitment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Solon, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
