Business Analyst

Job Summary:

The Business Analyst 5 will support the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) by acting as a liaison between DTMB and project stakeholders. This role involves facilitating requirements elicitation, process modeling, and strategy development for enhancements and technology updates to public-facing applications, including burn permit availability systems. The position requires strong customer service skills and the ability to help the agency comply with DTMB policies while contributing to the overall Business Analyst team's operational activities. The role follows a hybrid work schedule with required onsite presence. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

Minimum 7 years of experience in business process review, requirements elicitation, and documentation including process modeling. At least 5 years managing user stories on Agile development projects. Minimum 2 years working directly with senior management to facilitate strategy discussions, develop roadmaps, and resolve conflicts. Minimum 2 years experience on projects implementing IT solutions for public use. Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. Bachelor's degree. Preferred Skills & Certifications:

At least 2 years supporting development or compliance with statements of work or contracts. Experience working with programs governed by state and/or federal regulations. Strong organizational and relationship-building skills. Special Considerations:

Hybrid work schedule with mandatory onsite presence two days per week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) starting from day one. No remote-only work option. Candidates must be available for a two-round interview process: virtual first round and in-person second round. Withdrawn candidates cannot be replaced. References required with submission. Relocation at candidate's own expense if not local. Scheduling:

40 hours per week. Hybrid schedule with onsite work required Wednesdays and Thursdays. Contract duration: 6 months with potential for full-time hire.
