This part-time contract position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with educators and families as you support K-12 students in achieving their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric OT environment preferred
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs and 504 plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a diverse K-12 caseload and tailor interventions to individual student needs
- Proficiency in conducting assessments, writing reports, and documentation
Role Highlights:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade, addressing a range of physical, developmental, and sensory needs
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and interpret findings to inform intervention plans
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to support student inclusion and participation across academic settings
- Develop individualized treatment strategies and monitor progress, maintaining thorough documentation in accordance with school guidelines
- Consult with family members and educational staff to promote carryover of therapeutic activities in classroom and home environments
- Contribute to IEP meetings and offer professional recommendations to optimize student outcomes
