Medical Assistant Certified - Per Diem Urgent Care

Description As a Medical Assistant/MA-C, you'll help with administrative and clinical tasks like scheduling appointments, updating information in EPIC and taking patients' vital signs at appointments. Our clinical environments foster teamwork and provide pathways to leadership for MAs who wish to advance their careers. Responsibilities Perform all aspects of the MA I role. Assist in providing patient care under the delegation of a licensed practitioner. Schedule appointments, update patient records in EPIC, and take vital signs at appointments. Perform clinical tasks as directed, including obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration. Adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulations. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited medical assistant school with hands‑on training, or graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or completed two years of medical training in the U.S. Armed Forces, or minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration. Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification. Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association. 6 months healthcare experience. 6 months medical assistant experience. Preferred Qualifications Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification.
