Physical Education Teacher

Position Title: Physical Education Teacher Location: Shawboro Elementary School Job Type: Full-Time Reports To: Principal Start Date: August 10, 2026 Position Summary: Currituck County Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to create a positive and engaging learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will inspire students to achieve their academic potential while fostering a love for learning. Key Responsibilities:
- Instruction: Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons aligned with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
- Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a respectful and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Differentiation: Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs and styles.
- Assessment: Utilize a variety of assessment tools to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.

- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
- Valid North Carolina teaching license (or eligibility for licensure).
