As an itinerant nurse overseeing five schools for the academic year, you’ll be at the forefront of student health, collaborating with dedicated educators and making a direct impact across a diverse district. This role spans August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with a weekly 35-hour schedule.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN License, Public Health License, and School Nurse License issued by the Board of Teaching (all required)
• Current CPR and BLS certifications
• Prior experience within school settings preferred, emphasizing collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills suitable for a multi-school, districtwide caseload
• Passion for promoting student well-being and managing health plans for a variety of needs

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care and health assessments to students across multiple school sites
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for students with chronic health needs or acute issues
• Serve as a resource for staff and families, offering guidance on health education, medication administration, and emergency protocols
• Maintain and update accurate health records in compliance with district and state regulations
• Collaborate with faculty, administration, and external medical providers to support student health and safety
• Participate in school health screenings and immunization compliance initiatives
