This school-based contract position offers the chance to provide care and clinical leadership across five schools within an innovative educational setting. As an itinerant nurse, you’ll collaborate with staff and families, shaping the wellness experience for students of various ages.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license
• Public Health Nurse license
• School Nurse license issued by the Board of Teaching
• Active CPR and BLS certifications
• Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric settings preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and adaptability skills
• Ability to travel between school sites as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive health services to students district-wide
• Conduct health assessments, develop care plans, and manage chronic conditions
• Respond promptly to emergencies and administer necessary interventions
• Provide guidance and health education to students, staff, and families
• Collaborate with school teams to support students’ IEPs and 504 plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality standards
• Serve as a medical resource and advocate for healthy school environments

This is a full-time, onsite contract role spanning August 17, 2026 to May 28, 2027, with a consistent 35-hour workweek. You’ll play a vital part in promoting student health and building relationships within the school community—all while utilizing your specialized clinical skills in a dynamic, supportive environment.
