Manual Machinist (Broach Experience) — Match Staffing Is Hiring

Match Staffing is actively hiring an experienced Manual Machinist with broach experience for a long-term opportunity with one of our manufacturing partners. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented machinist who takes pride in precision work and producing high-quality parts.

?? Position Overview

The Manual Machinist will set up and operate manual machine tools—such as mills, lathes, grinders, and broaching machines—to produce precision components. Candidates must have hands-on broaching experience and the ability to read technical drawings and hold tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual mills, lathes, grinders, and broaching equipment

• Perform internal and external broaching (keyways, splines, etc.)

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders

• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges

• Maintain machines, tooling, and a clean work area

• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust setups as needed

• Document production, materials, and quality checks accurately

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a manual machinist

• Broaching experience required (internal/external)

• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, speeds, and feeds

• Ability to hold tight tolerances and perform precision measurements

• Blueprint reading and shop math skills

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
