Site Superintendent with HVAC Experience
My name is Bill Stevens, and I have a new full time Site Superintendent opportunity available for a major firm located on Islip, Long Island that could be of interest to you, please review my specification below and I am available at any time to speak with you so please feel free to call me. The work schedule will be a combination of onsite work locations within Nassau and Suffolk Counties and in the firm’s office. The ideal candidate must possess either an OSHA card or a Site Safety Training (SST) card and preferably HVAC experience.
The salary for this position will be in the range of $100,000 - $110,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all on-site HVAC construction activities for commercial projects, ensuring work is executed in accordance with contract documents, drawings, and specifications
Coordinate daily activities of HVAC subcontractors, foremen, technicians, pipefitters, sheet metal installers, insulators, controls contractors, and other mechanical trades
Plan and sequence HVAC work, including underground, rough-in, overhead, equipment setting, startup, testing, and close-out activities
Review and interpret HVAC plans, shop drawings, submittals, specifications, and approved RFIs
Ensure proper installation of HVAC systems including ductwork, piping, equipment, insulation, controls, supports, and penetrations
Coordinate HVAC layouts, elevations, slopes, clearances, and equipment placement with other trades to avoid conflicts and rework
Monitor quality of HVAC workmanship and verify installations meet design intent, code requirements, and manufacturer recommendations
Enforce site safety standards, including job hazard analysis (JHA), lockout/tagout, confined space, hot work, and fall protection requirements
Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA, site, and company safety policies
