Paraprofessional Needed in Queens

Work 1:1 with a pre-school child. Primary Responsibilities

• Shadow child in classroom and attend to child while there
• Accompany to therapy sessions (physical, occupational and speech)
• Respond to medical emergencies that may arise
• Perform any and all paraprofessional responsibilities as needed
• Other responsibilities as required by situation and supervisor

Requirements

• Bilingual Mandarin required.
• GED or high school diploma
• 3-6 months experience as a paraprofessional
• Trained in use of Epi-Pen
• Willing and able to work with medically fragile children in a school environment
• Must be fingerprinted, or willing to be fingerprinted, by the Board of Education. Fees for fingerprinting to be paid by candidate.
• Mandated Reporter certified
• A $25 money order to be paid to the school to complete the SCR Form. This is to be paid by the candidate.
• Recent Quantiferon TB test (within the last year)
• Pre-employment Physical Exam (within the last year)
• Titer tests (within the last year) for:
• MMR
• TDAP
• Varicella
