Bakery Production Manager

Production Manager

We are looking for a hands-on Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our bakery and commissary production team. This role is a good fit for someone with strong bakery or food production experience who enjoys both working alongside a team and keeping the bigger operation organized. The Production Manager will help coordinate production, inventory, staffing, quality, food safety, and deliveries while making sure our stores and customers receive the products they need on time and at the quality we expect.

What You'll Do:

• Plan and organize daily and weekly bakery and food production.
• Lead, train, and support production team members.
• Help establish production priorities and assign daily responsibilities.
• Monitor product quality, consistency, yields, and presentation.
• Manage ingredient, packaging, and supply inventory.
• Coordinate ordering, receiving, storage, and product rotation.
• Ensure store orders, catering orders, and deliveries are accurate and ready on time.
• Maintain clean, organized, and food-safe production and storage areas.
• Help reduce waste, shortages, and unnecessary overproduction.
• Maintain recipes, production sheets, checklists, and other operational systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow and production efficiency.
• Step into hands-on baking, food preparation, packaging, or production when needed.

What We're Looking For:

• Bakery, kitchen, food production, or similar experience.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with inventory and production planning.
• Strong attention to quality and consistency.
• Comfortable training and leading a team.
• Reliable communication and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently and solve day-to-day operational problems.
• Reliable transportation.
• ServSafe Manager certification, or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire.

This is a full-time position with a schedule based on production and business needs. Availability for early mornings and weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays when scheduled, is required. We're looking for someone who takes pride in building an organized, dependable production operation and wants to play an important role in the continued growth of our bakery and businesses.
