Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding contract opportunity awaits for a motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with a passion for supporting students in school settings. This anticipated role will serve as a floater COTA for the upcoming school year, working with Pre K–12th graders. You’ll collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team to foster student growth, facilitate skill development, and ensure functional participation in the classroom environment.
Key Details:
- Assignment runs from September 3, 2026, through June 24, 2027
- Approximately 29 hours per week, with potential flexibility to extend to 30 hours if preferred
- Work across multiple school sites with a varied weekly schedule
- Caseload details are being finalized, offering the chance to help shape service delivery alongside administrators
- Engage with students of various ages, tailoring therapeutic interventions to meet individual needs
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification as a COTA with active state licensure
- Experience in school-based occupational therapy strongly preferred
- Familiarity with a range of age groups, including early childhood through high school
- Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Adaptability and a team-focused mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with occupational therapists and educators to deliver high-quality interventions for students
- Travel between designated school sites, providing direct services and contributing to IEP development as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and service delivery
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages independence and inclusion for all learners
