TYPICAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing, production, supply chain, and operational functions to ensure the company delivers high-quality products efficiently, safely, and profitably. This role drives operational excellence, continuous improvement, and long-term strategic planning across the organization. The Director of Operations will lead multiple departments, optimize processes, and ensure alignment with company goals.

PRIMARY POSITION DUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations, including production, maintenance, supply chain, and logistics.
• Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that support business growth and profitability.
• Optimize production processes through lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ensure proper equipment utilization, preventive maintenance, and capital planning.
• Manage supply chain, procurement, and inventory levels to support production needs.
• Ensure accurate inventory controls and reduce waste and excess stock.
• Partner with executive leadership on long-term growth strategies, including automation and technology enhancements.
• Lead change initiatives to support scalability and operational excellence.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration among Operations, Engineering, Sales, HR, and Finance.

POSITION REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or related field required.
• 8-10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations.
• Proven track record in production management, process optimization, and team leadership.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, production software, and data analytics.
• Strong background in lean manufacturing, production planning, and process improvement.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong financial understanding related to cost of goods, margins, and budgets.
