Insomnia Cookies is actively hiring for a full-time hourly Store Manager in Training (MIT) at our newly opening Fresh Meadows, NY location. We are seeking hospitality-focused individuals looking to join our industry-leading, rapidly growing, and nationally recognized company! What will I do as a MIT with Insomnia Cookies? Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when the Store Ops Manager (GM) is not present. Supervise, train, and coach 2-5 team members engaged in cookie sales and customer deliveries. Lead onboarding and initial training for new hourly staff. Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires (Cookie Crew, Shift Leaders, and Delivery Drivers) in the manager's absence. Support the Store Ops Manager with ordering, inventory control, and scheduling. Ensure staff adhere to Insomnia Cookies' standards (baking, uniforms, policies, etc.). Upsell and provide excellent customer service, ensuring all team members do the same. Desired skills/experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail setting Experience conducting in-person interviews of hourly staff Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems Proficiency in MS Office, Word, and our Applicant Tracking System Ability to work a 4-5 day week, including 1-2 mid-to-late shifts (Thurs-Sun) Must be 18 or older and legally eligible to work in the U.S. Compensation: $20 - $23 an hour About us: Insomnia Cookies was founded in a college dorm by Seth Berkowitz.
