Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder / Rotating Equipment Assembler to join our team. This role is responsible for fitting, tacking, welding, assembling, and maintaining mechanical components used in gas turbines and compressor packages. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in rotating equipment assembly, welding processes, and interpreting technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Fit, tack, and weld components in accordance with detailed drawings and welding standards
• Perform certified welding processes (GTAW P8 6G required) in compliance with ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code
• Inspect, repair, replace, install, and maintain mechanical components and assemblies on gas turbines and compressors
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical assembly instructions
• Assemble rotating equipment, including compressor internals and auxiliary components
• Perform alignments and equipment installations
• Identify and correct fabrication errors to meet quality standards
• Safely operate welding equipment, cutting tools, rigging equipment, and measuring instruments
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality Control, Materials, and production teams
• Maintain welding certifications and adhere to safety and environmental policies (EHS)
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Complete shop documentation, work orders, and time tracking accurately

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or 10+ years of stainless steel pipe welding experience (technical certifications considered in lieu of diploma)
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in:
  
  • Rotating equipment assembly
  • Manufacturing/shop environment
• Hands-on experience with welding and cutting tools and processes
• Ability to pass GTAW P8 6G welding certification test
• Experience interpreting blueprints and applying dimensional tolerances
• OSHA 10 or greater required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on gas turbines and compressor overhauls
• Experience developing and interpreting technical assembly instructions and build sequencing

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Shop/manufacturing environment
• Frequent standing; occasional lifting up to 40 lbs
• May require overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Additional Requirements

• Must follow all safety policies and procedures at all times
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Up to 15% travel required

Pay Details: $35.00 per hour
