Lab Technician (Compound Hub Specialist) Internally titled "Lab Technician (Compound Hub Specialist)", this contract role is offered through our managed service provider, Magnit Global. Company Overview The Sample Management group seeks a highly motivated individual to serve as a key contributor. The position involves primarily working within the Compound Hub, handling new Novartis compounds and inventory requests through the Compound Hub Process. Key Functions Handle all new compound orders, weigh solid samples within a weigh hood using an analytical balance, create solutions, and transfer them to the Tecan Liquid Handler. Manage sample logistics, including packaging and unpackaging samples from both internal and external locations. Ensure all service level agreements are met daily and coordinate directly with scientific staff to complete orders. Skills Bachelor’s degree and experience working in a scientific laboratory. Thorough knowledge of compound management activities, including inventory management, solution production, quality control, and logistics management. Experience with laboratory robotics. Ability to diagnose and triage hardware and software issues quickly. Strong personal and communication skills. Team‑oriented and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Customer‑focused and professional demeanor. Self‑motivated, well‑organized, reliable, and able to prioritize workload. Working knowledge of MS Office products. Desired Traits & Experience Service‑oriented position requiring attention to detail and routine interaction with scientific staff. Knowledge of one or more of the following instruments/systems: Tecan Evo, Biomicrolab Volume Checker, Biomicrolab Tube Sorter. 0‑24 months of relevant experience. Education A Bachelor’s degree with experience working in a scientific laboratory.
