Head, Global Oncology Pipeline, Medical Affairs
AbbVie
Lead global oncology pipeline medical affairs strategy at AbbVie, developing differentiation and value propositions across the product lifecycle. Shape evidence generation plans and direct pipeline execution teams while collaborating cross-functionally with international, commercial, and development partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead pipeline medical, value, and evidence strategy development across disease areas for US and International markets
- Drive differentiation of medical and value strategy leveraging market insights from discovery through 24-36 months pre-launch
- Incorporate HCP, patient, and payor insights into clinical and commercialization strategies to accelerate pipeline programs
- Serve as single point of contact and final decision maker for pipeline-related strategy and governance
- Manage pipeline resources and hand over to inline/launch teams with comprehensive insight sharing and minimal duplication
Requirements
- M.D. or advanced degree in relevant scientific discipline (oncology/hematology preferred)
- 15+ years pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience focused on oncology
- Expertise in clinical development, regulatory requirements, and commercialization of oncology therapies
- Senior-level medical affairs leadership experience managing direct/indirect reports and cross-functional teams
- Strong scientific knowledge of solid tumor biology, clinical trial design, biomarkers, and emerging treatment modalities
- Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25-30%
