Overview of Job Duties:

The staff physician in the clinical pathway will be tasked with delivering direct outpatient care to patients with Gastrointestinal (GI) and Hepatology needs at our facilities in Doral and/or Solé Miá in North Miami (9 half days). Please note that Solé Miá is set to open in the fall of 2025. The physician will offer outpatient clinical services and endoscopic procedures for patients requiring Gastroenterology and Hepatology interventions, as well as screening procedures.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:

• Oversee outpatient clinic operations and endoscopic procedures at our Doral and Solé Miá locations.

• Participate in night and weekend on-call rotations at the medical campus, sharing responsibilities with other physicians.

• Engage in inpatient rotations at UHT or JMH, in alignment with other healthcare providers.

Qualifications:

• MD degree along with completion of an ACGME-accredited internal medicine internship, residency, and GI fellowship.

• Current American Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or board eligible).

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology/Hepatology (or board eligible).

• Possession of a valid, unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligibility to apply (license must be obtained prior to credentialing).

• Valid DEA registration.

• Current BLS certification is mandatory; ACLS certification is preferred.

• Ability to provide case logs for procedures performed over the past two years for credentialing purposes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of and ability to implement professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.

• Commitment to maintaining Continuing Medical Education (CME) to fulfill institutional and state licensing requirements.

• Possess excellent clinical knowledge and experience to ensure safe, high-quality patient care that meets institutional standards.

• Ability to conduct follow-up encounters within 72 hours.
